J Lauritzen speaker confirmed for IMPA Conference
Kathrine Geisler of J Lauritzen has been confirmed as a speaker for the IMPA London Conference. She will make a 20 minute presentation on CSR on day two of the conference.
Speaking to IMPA ahead of the presentation, Ms Geisler, who is a Corporate Responsibility Manager at J. Lauritzen, said: ‘I am very happy to have been invited to IMPA 2012 as we have spent much effort in preparing, designing and implementing responsible procurement in J.Lauritzen as an important part of our CSR program.
‘I am very much looking forward to joining the CSR session at IMPA 2012 and in this forum getting the chance to learn, debate and share knowledge about this important issue for us and for the industry.
‘Further it is my hope that the maritime industry can reach a common standard for the benefit of suppliers, buyers and other stakeholders.
Kathrine joined J. Lauritzen in 2011. Her key focus has been to align, develop and start the implementation of different corporate responsibility initiatives – one of them being a responsible procurement programme with focus on both UN Global Compact and the UN’s Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
